NEW PROGRAM SITE CHECKLIST

    • Spring 2018 start: Secure the following and complete a site application by the December 15, 2017 deadline.
    • The ability to hold the program on any 2 non-consecutive days of the week from March 19 through the end of season 5K on June 2 (no practice held during spring break)
    • Look over the Starting a Site Info Packet
    • A site liaison who is a staff member at the site CLICK HERE for site liaison responsibilities
    • An appropriate OUTDOOR RUNNING SPACE to hold the practices (ability for the girls to run a ¼ mile)
    • A designated INDOOR RUNNING SPACE used in inclement weather
    • VOLUNTEER COACHES (no more than 5)
    • A plan to RECRUIT 3rd through 5th grade girls to the program and identify girls who would benefit from GOTR with the use financial assistance
    • A program must have 8 PARTICIPANTS with a maximum number of 20 girls
    • New sites typically are not allowed to have two programs for their first season; EXPANSION of the program can occur the second season if there is demand and an appropriate number of coaches
